The Aufsesser brewery has some delicious brews in its range, but the biggest highlight from its pen is the Wegseidla. The Upper Franconian team has been brewing beer since the end of the 19th century and has probably been drinking a small bottle on the way home from work for just as long. The Wegbier is a Bavarian phenomenon that describes a nightcap that is drunk on the way. A Wegbier can also be enjoyed on the way to the pub to get in the mood for the evening or if you have a few stops on your agenda at the weekend and want to sweeten the journey. The only problem so far has been that you have to do your errands and go everywhere on foot because it is notoriously not safe to drive with alcohol in your system.
Of course, the resourceful brewers from Aufseß also have a solution for this problem: the first non-alcoholic Wegseidla.
1 Ohne is a slim version of the classic Wegseidla with a low original wort content. Because you rarely pour barley juice into a glass on the way, we would like to describe the look and smell to you: The brew is a golden copper brown and is crowned with a small crown that smells tart and subtly hoppy. 1 Ohne is wonderfully light-footed and scores with a genuine Franconian taste at 0.5% alcohol content.
