Wheat belongs to Bavaria like pretzel. The wheat beer also tastes particularly good with such a beer, especially when the delicious pastry is accompanied by a hearty white sausage and a good load of sweet mustard. But vegetarians and sausage refusers should also like the wheat beer. One of our favorites is the wheat from the Bayreuth brewery. As a Bavarian brewery it is a matter of course to have a wheat in the range, and the Bayreuth brewers do not shirk this responsibility.
Your Bayreuth wheat beer is a down-to-earth beer specialty made from hand-picked ingredients and prepared with great craftsmanship. The light beer is naturally cloudy and sunny yellow in the glass and opens with a snow-white crown of airy foam. The banana note typical of wheat rises into the nose as soon as the crown cap is lifted, where it combines with spicy cloves and fine malt to form a tempting mixture. In addition to a strong body, the initial taste reveals a wonderfully smooth, thick texture and a great mouthfeel. Wheat has a classic taste: creamy banana meets clove and lots of yeast. This traditional palette of flavors is complemented by notes of dried apricots, creamy honey and lightly roasted cereals. In the finish, the grain note increases and is complemented by a dry bitterness.
