Wit is a Belgian classic that is traditionally seasoned with coriander and salt and is often drunk in summer. If you wanted to compare it to a German beer style, it would probably be most similar to wheat beer, as it has an equally grippy and velvety-soft malt base, brings similar fresh, fruity flavors to the glass and is just as bubbly.
The Camba Bavaria brewery has put its own stamp on this Belgian delicacy: its Chiemsee Wit adheres to the general guidelines of the style and enriches it with a generous amount of hops. The varieties used are Hallertau and Hersbrucker. The Bavarian-Belgian masterpiece presents itself in a rich golden yellow in the glass and is clouded by strong yeast veils. A stately, firm, fine-pored head sits on top of the beer and smells temptingly of freshly picked coriander and lemon zest. The first impression continues on the first sip and caresses the palate with sparkling elegance. Multifaceted citrus notes, a hint of herbs, oven-fresh brioche and soft malt create a successful overall picture that we can't get enough of.
