When people dedicate their lives to a passion, their work usually bears impressive results. The Hybrid Sequence Series brings together three such heart projects and connects people who are individually creative geniuses. This collaboration has created legendary teams and a whole range of absolutely unique beers.
We are talking about the breweries Freigeist Bierkultur and Stillwater Artisanal, who have brought a number of talented winemakers on board for their latest joint project. The craft brewers from Germany and America are known for their extraordinary and creative beers and have made a name for themselves in the business with their craftsmanship and daring flavors. Together with the winemakers, they have created a series of beer-wine hybrids, for each of which a wild ale is fermented with grapes from different grape varieties and then refined in oak barrels for two years. All beers appear in limited editions and are sold in elegant 0.75 l bottles.
The Hybrid Sequence 0.003 is the third cooperation between the two breweries and the Franconian winery 2Naturkinder. Melanie Drese and Michael Völker have selected a Bacchus grape for this creation, which gives the beer a wonderfully sour fruitiness. The strong acidity is accompanied by aromas of ripe grapes, apricots and peaches, while the hops add a playful floral touch.
