The black secret among the brewing specialties of the Riegele brewery.
Noctus 100 is a deep black imperial stout with a voluminous body and a whole firework of dark flavors. The beer impresses with full-bodied coffee and chocolate notes that are sweet and bitter at the same time. The roasted aroma has a subtle acidity and also gives the beer a wonderful bitterness. Complex and flavorful, Noctus 100 is one of our favorites from Riegele.
As expected, the Imperial Stout flows into the glass with an opaque, almost black mahogany tone. A fine layer of creamy, slightly tinted foam crowns the beer. The delicately pored foam is fed by finely sparkling carbon dioxide and exudes a wonderful scent of freshly brewed filter coffee, delicately melting men's chocolate and candied, dark fruits. A touch of smoky peat complements the olfactory aromatics. The initial taste reveals a powerful body with wonderfully dark aromas. Velvety soft and luxurious, warm notes of cocoa, Turkish mocha and delicious blackberry jam caress the palate. A touch of salty licorice gives the beer a nice spice. The tangy carbon dioxide conjures up a certain lightness that wonderfully balances the heavy sweetness. An elegant bitterness provides additional contrast. The finish tastes full-bodied, sweet of dark roasted malt, hot espresso, vanilla and blackberries and lingers on the tongue for a long time.
