Another excellent buck from Rittmayer!
Bock beer has a centuries-long tradition in Germany. Each monastery brewed bock beer in the fall and spring to survive the harsh winter and Lent before Easter. Bock beers have always been rich, strong beers with a high alcohol content and a lot of taste. These qualities of the bock beer have been preserved to this day. Luckily, there's nothing like a big jug of freshly tapped Bock when the first cold autumn nights arrive!
This Bock is a Weizenbock as it should be: Strongly malty, but with a fruity undertone that you wouldn't expect. On the nose, the Weizenbock impresses with complex spice aromas and hints of tropical fruits. A base of sweet malt carries the flavor of ripe, yellow fruit. In the mouth, the Weizenbock delights with a silky-soft consistency. Thanks to its fruity overtones, Weizenbock goes perfectly with sweet-fruity desserts such as fruit cake, but can also be enjoyed on its own.
The Weizenbock from Rittmayer is definitely not off the shelf and contains many a taste surprise for craft beer fans.
