In addition to the classic wheat beer, the Schneider Weisse brewery's range, which specializes in wheat beer, also includes very special delicacies. Tap X Nelson Sauvin is definitely one of them. The bottle-aged beer is brewed with the Nelson Sauvin hop variety and has its own character. The New Zealand hop specialty is characterized by a fine, tangy taste that is reminiscent of exclusive white wine.
Tap X flows into the glass in a cloudy amber tone and shimmers wonderfully golden. A massive, white head of foam sits on top of the beer and exudes a scent that is made up of floral, exotic fruity and malty components. The initial taste presents a malty body, to which the fruity acidity of the hops gives it a nice lightness. The malt caresses the palate with notes of freshly baked bread, creamy caramel and sun-ripened grain. After a few moments the hops join in and bring a slightly sour fruitiness of banana, orange, green apple, pear and white grapes into play. A hint of honey and a spicy touch of clove give the beer that certain something. The finish is wonderfully dry and leaves you wanting more.
Schneider Weisses Tap A fabulous alternative to traditional wheat if you like to try something new.
