Like all bock beers , the Ott beer is only brewed seasonally. The brewery from the small Franconian town of Oberleinleiter taps its fine bock beer just in time for the first cold nights in mid-October and serves it while stocks last. The strong beer brings a strong 6.8% to the table and also scores with a full-bodied abundance of aromatic malts.
In the glass, the bock appears in an almost clear, shiny gold. A touch of copper runs through the beer and a white crown completes the look. A bouquet of roasted malt and sun-ripened grain fills the air, blending with delicate notes of caramel and fruit to create an irresistible blend. The initial taste is soft and tasty: Manifold notes of malt ensnare the palate and bring spice, pithy grain and a gentle sweetness. The alcohol content contributes a warm fire that spreads from the mouth throughout the body.
The Oberleinleitner bock beer heralds the autumn in an atmospheric way and is your companion for the cold season! Thanks to its malty character, the strong beer tastes great with hearty winter cuisine. Our favorite? Strongly roasted or grilled venison sausages with buttery mashed potatoes and a selection of root vegetables from the oven.
