The geeks among us get wide-eyed and sweaty hands when listening to this Trio Infernale. Three legends came together to create a beer. We didn't even know the three of them knew each other and now they're working together! In the geek world, it's like a superhero, a genius villain, and a dragon getting together to create a massive comic. Pure magic!

For all the non-nerds out there, Wil Wheaton is an actor who, before he became known in a Hollywood production about a bunch of brilliant but socially underexposed scientists, was long known in the geek world for his role in a science fiction series had reached legendary status. Drew Curtis is the forefather of alternative news and Greg Koch is none other than the CEO and co-founder of Stone Brewing.

Their W00tstout comes in a classic science fiction guise and is brewed with rye and wheat flakes, malted barley and pecans. The finished masterpiece is refined in bourbon barrels where it matures to its full potential.

The dark stout flows into the glass in the color of impenetrable mahogany and forms a fine-pored, hazelnut-brown head of foam. A complex aroma of delicately melting chocolate, creamy caramel, roasted nuts, dark malt, freshly ground coffee beans and dried red fruits rises from the creamy foam. The bourbon barrel adds a hint of vanilla and a slightly woody note. The initial taste follows the olfactory first impression: sweet and velvety, the beer caresses the palate and brings aromas of dark chocolate, toffee, roasted nuts, soft malt, spicy vanilla and oak wood. An elegant bitterness skilfully balances the heavy sweetness.
