Quit the Shit is not only a somewhat rude invitation, but also a play on words, which is also the title of an extremely delicious quince IPA from Orca Brau.
The creative brewer Felix vom Endt brought his friends from Freigeist Bierkultur and Demory Paris on board for this creation. He’s also picked a lot of quinces. Hopefully his wife Susa and his son Finn helped him with this.
With combined brewing forces and the mountain of quinces, Felix and his temporary team have brewed a beer that can be seen (and tasted): Your quince IPA Quit the Shit is not only full of fruit, but also full of hops. The IPA was brewed with the hop varieties Mosaic and Ekuanot. It presents itself in a slightly cloudy gold tone in the glass and adorns itself with a stately crown of airy, white foam. From the foamy splendor, a wonderful autumn scent of downy quince rises into the nose and combines there with the aromas of floral hops, citrus peel and green gooseberries. Tempting!
The initial taste conjures up a fruity mildness on the tongue and delights with delicately sweet notes of quince jelly, gently roasted malt, flowery hops and lemon peel. The finish rounds off the beer enjoyment with a dry bitterness.
Quinces in their most beautiful form!
