When two predators meet, it's usually a pretty tense situation. Hierarchy must be established, strength measured, and dominance proven. A fight is usually inevitable and can end badly for one or both of the opponents. Fortunately, humans have evolved from beings of mere instinct to beings of intellect, and these days, contests between rivals are usually somewhat more amicable and non-violent.
When the two breweries Nürnbier and Yankee & Kraut met, they channeled their combined energy not into a massive brawl, but into a collaborative brew. Instead of butting heads, they created a joint project.
A duel on paper, a duo in practice. Raubtier Duell is a juicy New England IPA brewed with HBC 630 Cryo and Mosaic Cryo hops. This beery showdown presents itself in a fiercely cloudy peach gold in the glass and carries a fluffy head of dense, white foam on its opaque body. The aroma of a whole basket of tropical fruits entices the palate upon first sip and is also reflected in the taste: fruit in abundance caresses the palate in the grippy and creamy consistency of a smoothie. A robust 6.2% alcohol content and a gentle bitterness round out this fruit-forward delight.
A truly delicious duel!
