Non-alcoholic Alster Ale is definitely our newest favorite alliteration.
The Hamburg craft beer brewery Uwe has found a very special niche in the craft beer market and makes countless people happy with their beers who don't have it that easy when it comes to choosing a beer. The five friends behind the young label Uwe make craft beer that does not contain any alcohol. Their goal is to put an end to the horror of non-alcoholic beers. No more bland, inedible beers without alcohol - bring on the delicious non-alcoholic beers that cannot be distinguished from their alcoholic counterparts in terms of taste. Isn't there? Oh but!
The Alster Ale from Uwe is brewed like a conventional ale. Hops, yeast and malt work their magic in the traditional way, the only difference when making alcoholic beers is the type of yeast used. A very special type of yeast goes into the non-alcoholic Alster Ale, which ends fermentation at a maximum alcohol content of 0.5%. This special yeast strain enables Uwe's brewers to brew a beer that is naturally alcohol-free.
Uwe's non-alcoholic Alster Ale flows into the glass in a naturally cloudy amber tone and has beautiful, hop-green reflections when the light hits it. Seductively fresh scents of floral hops and sun-ripened lemon rise from the fleeting foam. The fruity first impression is reflected wonderfully in the taste. The initial drink reveals a wonderful citrus freshness, which is accompanied by a pleasant fruit acidity. A subtle bitterness underlines the lemony aromas.
Extremely successful!
