The advantage of winter, with its terrible weather, the eternal darkness and the everlasting gray water, is the cosiness that suddenly radiates from home. Your own four walls are never as tempting as when it’s storming, hailing or pouring outside. We spend our weekends in the warm lamplight, wrapping ourselves in the fluffiest blanket we can find, wearing wool socks and cozy sweaters, drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows, and reading or watching every episode of a good series.
For a particularly cozy atmosphere, the Veldensteiner brewery has come up with a festival beer. The amber-colored specialty brings 6.0% alcohol content into the glass and warms body and soul with its full-bodied variety of malt. The strong drop was specially developed for winter and is your companion for the cold half of the year.
The copper-golden beer is adorned with a stable head of foam that fills the air with a spicy bouquet. Candied red fruits, freshly baked bread, gentle toasty aromas, yeast and a hint of caramel fill the air. The great pleasure continues in the first drink: rich malt notes conquer the palate with a creamy mouthfeel. Roasted grain, crisp bread crust, toffee and dried fruit spread in the mouth, the hops set in later and deliver small undertones of citrus fruit and green umbels as well as a mild, drinkable bitterness.
