If you want to give your Advent season a golden sheen, you’ve come to the right place: The Autenrieder Festbier refines your Christmas with a shiny gold look and a taste that can only be described as golden.
The seasonal festival beer is made from handpicked raw materials: crystal clear water from the brewery’s own castle garden spring meets the finest malt, exquisite cone hops and yeast, which has been used for generations for the tasty creations of the Autenrieder brewery. The brewers work at full speed in late summer so that they can pour their fine festival beer in time for the beginning of autumn in mid-October year after year.
The strictly limited beer specialty flows into the glass in the color of liquid gold and adorns itself with a large amount of delicately tinted foam. A scent rises from the fine-pored crown, reminiscent of freshly baked cookies. The initial taste enchants with its soft gentleness and warming aroma: diverse malt nuances meet caramel, spicy blossom honey and roasted nuts. A hint of forest berries gives the beer a fruity component, while the hops with their mild bitterness and tart herbal notes provide contrast and depth. The last sip is remembered with bitter notes, a fine tartness and a hint of caramel.
Thanks to its wintry character, the Autenried Festbier goes wonderfully with hearty dishes, but it can also be enjoyed with Stollen, gingerbread and cookies because it is not too sweet.
