Sierra Nevada Brewery specializes in crafting delicious, heavily hopped IPAs and other modern brews. We’re particularly excited about their Little Thing Series, a range of densely clouded brews with maximum hop content. The beers are fruity, juicy, wild, magnificent, and so delicious that we can’t get enough. The latest addition to this exceptional series is Juicy Little Thing.
To make the Hazy IPA particularly juicy, the team uses the dry-hopping technique. The hops are added to the wort at the very last possible moment and are not boiled. This gentle hopping process allows the aromatic compounds to fully develop. The bitterness, on the other hand, remains moderate, which allows the brewmasters to use enormous quantities of hops. Sierra Nevada further enhances this effect with select malts that provide a beautiful haze and special yeast strains that contribute a fruity character.
The result is a sun-golden beer with a dense cloudiness and a light, white head. Notes of pink guava, ripe mango, and tart grapefruit tickle the nose and run like a common thread through the beer’s enjoyment. On the palate, this fruity trio is joined by notes of peach, pineapple, mandarin orange, and passion fruit – a wonderfully juicy beer experience that is harmoniously bitter and simply delicious.
