After their very first Double India Pale Ale hit like a bomb and quickly became an absolute crowd favorite, the brewers decided without further ado to make a whole series of the fine brew. The #DIPA series has presented a wide variety of double IPAs with different hop varieties, brewing techniques and recipes over the past few years.
After this tour de force, the time has finally come: #DIPA is no longer only available in a limited number, but will become an integral part of the core range. From all the candidates in the series, the tastiest, tastiest and best Double India Pale Ale was selected and used as a prototype for series production. The winning beer is flavored with a juicy blend of Cascade, Citra and Simcoe hops and stabilized with Pilsner malt, wheat and rolled oats. At the end there is a brew with a strong 8.7% alcohol content and an explosively fruity aroma.
The heavily clouded gold beer smells of freshly baked bread and a whole basket of ripe tropical fruit. The initial sip follows this excellent first impression and refreshes the palate with papaya, mango, pineapple, orange and grapefruit. The malt adds a deliciously creamy mouthfeel and soft tones of caramel accompanied by a complementary bitterness. Despite the high alcohol content, #DIPA is incredibly tasty.
