Every November, countless beer fans in the United Kingdom look forward to a very special beer specialty: the Batemans brewery releases its annual festival beer Rosey Nosey. The spicy Christmas beer is now a real legend in England and is in great demand.
No Christmas without Rosey Nosey!
The cute name of the Christmas beer is inspired by Santa Claus’ red nose. After hours of sleigh ride through the icy cold, the gift bringer has a bright red nose on his face and thus adapts to his lead animal in the reindeer herd.
Rosey Nosey flows into the glass in a wonderfully rich bronze tone and is crowned by a slightly tinted foam. From the fine head of foam, a wintry potpourri of tempting scents rises to your nose. Pears marinated in cinnamon white wine, Christmas fruit bread, freshly baked cookies and a spicy touch of Christmas tree resin tickle the olfactory nerves and make you want to take your first sip. The initial taste reveals a beer with a medium body and lively carbon dioxide, which gives the festive drink a wonderful creaminess. Cinnamon, raisins dipped in chocolate, dried plums and creamy caramel caress the palate. A moderate sweetness and a subtle bitterness accompany the wintery aromatics. The finish is bitter and malty-soft at the same time.
Rosey Nosey is a fine Christmas beer that conjures up an Advent atmosphere in your glass in November.
