For us, weekend means sleeping in, having a leisurely breakfast in bed with coffee, a book and a croissant or two, strolling through the market, drinking the next coffee in the café and having two full days ahead of us with no plans, appointments, pressure or obligation. The VandeStreek brewery associates weekends with a good buzz: Hazy Weekend is a densely cloudy New England IPA from their pen, which, according to the brewmasters themselves, is only brewed on Mondays when the team is still a bit dazed from the weekend. The classic in the wide range has now almost achieved cult status, which is why there is now also a matching shirt for the Monday beer.
The Hazy Weekend shirt comes in jet black and is printed with a slightly battered can of NEIPA. The white can is slightly squashed, its contents obviously already drunk. Unlike the merchandise of many breweries, this shirt has a motif that is not immediately recognizable as a brewery advertisement. Rather, it looks like a top that someone would wear who simply likes beer in general, but perhaps also Hazy Weekends from VandeStreek.
