The porter is one of the most legendary beers ever. There is a lot of history behind the dark, full-bodied beer and countless mysteries surround it. The Spanish brewery Espiga has taken on the fascinating beer and created an extraordinary beer specialty that is aromatic without being too powerful.
Espigas Porter appears in an opaque, deep, dark mahogany tone in the glass and captivates with its wonderful aromas as soon as you pour it. On the nose, freshly ground coffee, roasted malts and dark chocolate meet a dry grain note. The scent from the creamy, hazelnut-brown foam makes you want to take your first sip. And the initial taste doesn't disappoint: a light to medium body with pleasant carbonation conveys an aromatic beer. Soft roasted malt notes caress the palate with moderate sweetness, freshly brewed coffee and dark chocolate bring a wonderful, bitter bitterness into the aromatic play. Espigas Porter is a beautifully balanced beer enjoyment that delights us with strong bitter notes and a subtle sweetness.
This porter beer is a light, tasty representative of its kind and not as powerful as many of its colleagues. Recommended!
