In some places Santa Claus brings the presents, in other families it is Santa Claus, Santa Claus or Grandma. In Franconia, small children believe in the Christ child. During Advent, letters with good wishes and long wish lists are sent to his heavenly address so that the right gift is under the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. Belief in the Christ child also has a long tradition in the Czech Republic. There it is often equated with the baby Jesus and is therefore called Ježíšek, i.e. Baby Jesus.

Pivovar Zichovec has come up with a beery homage to the holy gift bringer: their Ježíšek is a Christmas-inspired West Coast IPA that makes all the lights glow with a whopping 9.0% alcohol content. The festive delicacy has been brewed for years just in time for Advent and brings a whole range of so-called C hops to the coffee table to match stollen, gingerbread and cookies. The Centennial, Chinook, Citra and Columbus varieties conjure up a juicy bouquet of tropical fruits in the beer, which is harmoniously rounded off by citrus notes, pine spice and a strong bitterness. Ježíšek has been double cold hopped and is bursting with pure, delicious hop energy.
