Sometimes things just go wrong. The paper bag with our weekly shopping rips and everything rolls into a muddy puddle. The bus drives away right in front of us. The umbrella gives up the ghost in the pouring rain. Just before the end of the day, five important emails arrive, or you realize at breakfast that you should have been preparing a presentation – it’s precisely these moments that make us ask ourselves, "What are you actually doing here?" And we’re not the only ones who sometimes feel this way. The team at the Czech brewery Sibeeria and their friends at the Rivington Brewery in the UK also ask themselves this question amidst the everyday madness – and they have the answer ready: They brew beer that is wonderfully comforting in these and all other moments.
What Are You Doing Here? is a New England IPA from their pen that takes the wind out of the sails of the hectic pace with a relaxing 6.8% alcohol content. The collaboration brew flows into the glass with the color of ripe grain and the turbidity of freshly squeezed orange juice, crowned with a hand’s breadth of white foam. The combination of the London Fog yeast strain and the Citra Incognito, Nectaron, and HBC 630 hops creates a fruity flavor profile that is already evident in the aroma. A summery symphony of freshly grated citrus zest, tangerine, and white peach runs like a common thread through the aroma and taste.
Juicy, tasty, tropical fruity!
