Those in the know know that if you want to be successful in the fast-moving craft beer business, you not only have to brew excellent beer, but also have a clever design and a name that is unique and memorable. Naming your label BRLO is a bit of a bold move, as you might not know straight away how to pronounce the tongue twister.

Unspeakable and irresistible

You might not immediately think that BRLO is actually a Berlin beer brand. Unless you come from there, because real Berliners know that BRLO is the Slavic term for what Berlin used to be: the dry part within a swamp. What you pronounce Berlo is the origin of the current name of the state capital and a word that very few of us associate with anything. That was exactly the reason Katharina, Christian and Michael chose this name. BRLO is unoccupied by ideas and images - at least until you treat yourself to one of BRLO's excellent beers. From that point on, the sound of the word alone will evoke wonderful images of cool beer, memories of hoppy escapades and a great thirst for beer.

You can now buy real Berlin craft beer in more than 50 different Berlin bars, Spätis and restaurants, and the trio's hoppy products have fans and admirers far beyond the borders of the capital. In fact, BRLO beer is even enjoyed beyond the borders of our planet: a German airline was so taken with the beers that they serve them in cans above the clouds. Out of this world good, in the truest sense of the word! Anyone who thinks that the company, founded in the summer of 2014, will soon move into mass production due to its resounding success to date is mistaken. BRLO is and will remain beer that is produced with heart and craftsmanship. Under the motto "Handcrafted with Berlin love", the trio Katharina, Michael and Christian develop real, down-to-earth beer that not only delights us with its irresistible taste.
