Allow me, Resi.
The wheat beer range from the Hösl private brewery in Mitterteich is affectionately called Resi by the brewers. Resi comes in four versions: light, dark, light and in the wedding version. Our favorite is the Weissbier Resi in dark. The strong wheat beer specialty impresses with its malty aroma, a seductive, naturally cloudy color and a heavenly taste.
The dark Resi flows into the glass in a wonderfully rich chestnut brown and shines wonderfully coppery when the light hits it. An airy, light, medium-pored head of foam majestically completes the beer and exudes a tempting scent of strong roasted malt, spicy yeast and subtly sour red fruits. Ripe apple, oven-fresh bread crust and a touch of spice round off the olfactory aromas and make you want to take the first sip. This reveals a full-bodied wheat with complex aromas and a strong, characterful taste. Notes of roasted malt, creamy caramel, ripe banana, candied red fruits and fresh stone-oven bread caress the palate. Roasted nuts, spicy yeast, nutmeg and a small touch of orange peel complete the taste. The wheat beer has a great balance of sweet and sour notes, with hardly any bitterness. With a pleasant 5.1% alcohol content, the wheat beer is easy to digest and extremely drinkable.
The dark wheat beer Resi from the Hösl private brewery is a traditional wheat beer that is spicy and highly aromatic.
Resi for everyone!
