Beer or wine? This decision is made for you with the creation brau.nett by Kuehn Kunz Rosen: The Mainz brewery teamed up with friend and winemaker KaiSchätzel from theSchätzel winery and created a fusion of beer and wine. The fine white grapes from Nierstein am Rhein are mashed and fermented together with the beer mash. The result is a finely cloudy beer with wonderfully elegant notes.
Brau.nett flows into the glass in a delicately cloudy light gold and is crowned by an airy, white foam. Sparkling aromas of white grapes, notes of light malt, fine hops and a subtle citrus note emerge from the fluffy foam. The initial taste reveals a light-footed beer with fine carbonation. The sparkling carbon dioxide dances on the tongue and gives the beer a wonderful freshness. An elegant play of aromas unfolds on the palate: crisp green apple starts and is accompanied by sweet and sour citrus notes. The malt forms a subtly caramel base. The grapes add a fresh elegance that brings to mind light summer wines. The salt it contains gives a special kick: it gives the beer that certain extra something and balances sweetness and acidity wonderfully.
The light, dry and tangy beer is perfect as an aperitif for a Mediterranean menu. With its subtle world of flavors, it prepares the palate perfectly for the culinary delicacies that follow and is at the same time a highlight that leaves you wanting more.
