There are moments when we long for a strong distillate that temporarily clouds our heads with an intoxicating taste and lots of revs. If you don’t want to go without beer on these occasions, you can either have a glass of beer brandy or choose the creations from Schorschbräu. Schorsch Tscheuschner from Franconia brews the strongest beers in the world and some of his brews easily crack the 20% mark.
One of these is his Schorschweizen ICE, which is one of the strongest wheat beers in the world with exactly 20.0% alcohol content. The delicacy comes in small swing-top bottles with a capacity of 0.33 L, which are closed with a wax seal. The red seal symbolizes the special nature of this brew and ensures that the carbonation remains in the beer and opening the bottle feels really festive. The play of aromas is dominated by a strong alcohol note. Full-bodied hints of dried plums, delicately melting caramel, oven-fresh fruit bread and cocoa accompany the warming revolutions and make the wheat a fine wine for selected occasions.
Due to its high alcohol content and complex taste, Schorschweizen is ideal as an aperitif before a fancy dinner. Hearty winter salads with lamb’s lettuce, pomegranate seeds and pumpkin seed oil, game dishes, cheese of all kinds and chocolatey desserts go wonderfully with the aroma of this incomparable brew.
