The Schorschbräu prides itself on brewing the strongest beers in the world. However, Schorsch Tscheuschner can not only juggle the highest percentages, he is also a master of taste.
The currently strongest lager in the world comes from his pen and because the master brewer likes to outdo himself, he filled the fine wine into oak barrels after the brewing process was completed and let it mature in them. This time-consuming step enriches the beer’s natural aroma with spicy vanilla, toasted wood notes, caramel notes and complex undertones reminiscent of bourbon-soaked raisins. The brew comes with an impressive 15.0% alcohol content and shows its full potential when enjoyed at a drinking temperature of around 15 degrees.
The Schorschbock 15 flows into the glass in an opaque hazelnut brown and forms a fleeting veil of foam that leaves plenty of room for the intoxicating scent. A composition of roasted malt, spicy schnapps and toffee fills the air and makes you want to take your first sip. The taste test reveals an intense play of aromas that extends from sweet grain notes to honey, dried fruits, rum raisins and caramel to hints of vanilla oak. Due to its rotation, the Schorschbock 15 is ideal for storage: aging in the cellar elicits elegant sherry notes from the beer over time.
