At first glance, "Murder Ink" looks like the promo for a new horror film: The title promises nerve-wracking suspense and the occasional bloodbath, the label is bathed in red light, depicting a sinister figure in mysterious garb, and an M that could have been written in blood frames the scene. We'd go to the cinema for this film! In fact, this isn't a clever advertisement for the next thriller, but rather an extremely delicious beer from the pen of Georg Tscheuschner.
The master brewer, known for brewing the strongest beers in the world, has teamed up with his friend and colleague Martin Seidl from the Dietrachinger Brewery to brew a true bastion of a beer.
Mördertinte is a brilliant bock beer in which roasted malt plays the starring role: 30% of the malt consists of roasted malt from various grain varieties. This majestic brew – how could it be otherwise – brings a whopping 12.6% alcohol by volume to the glass and is a velvety delight whose intensity is hard to surpass. The brew flows from its dramatic bottle in the midnight black color of freshly brewed coffee, delivering an impressive composition that impresses from the first sniff to the last sip: Powerful notes of melting chocolate meet complex roasted aromas, licorice, espresso, and a soul-soothing warmth – a feast for the nose and palate!
