In Christianity and all other world religions, there are a whole series of holidays and events that break up everyday life and pepper the year with occasions to look forward to. Fans of the good barley juice also have beer-related dates in their calendar: at Easter, Christmas, the church fair, the beginning of spring and the hop harvest, there are seasonal specialties, and twice a year it is Bock beer season. Strong beer is brewed in traditional breweries during Lent in spring and autumn and tapped with a ceremony.
The Simon brewery in Lauf an der Pegnitz is located in the heart of Franconian brewing and naturally enriches the beer landscape with Bock beer. As is tradition, this is also served here in spring and autumn. Their contribution to the Bock beer season is a light brew with an impressive 7.0% alcohol content and a finely flavored character.
The Simon Bock Hell brewery is presented in crystal-clear gold and is adorned with a majestic crown of fine-pored foam. A delicate scent of gently roasted grain, ripe fruit and grassy hops rises to the nose and makes you excited for the first sip. The taste is made up of strong malt, forest honey and herbs. A bitter finish crowns the beer enjoyment and lingers on the tongue for a long time.
