Under the name Fridolin you imagine a funny fellow who is always in a good mood and inspires and infects friends and acquaintances with his cheerful lightness. Just someone you like to count as one of your best friends.
This is exactly how you have to imagine the Helle Fridolin from the Hohmann brewery. Fridolin is a light-footed beer with a nice freshness that’s fun.
Fridolin comes in a sunny amber tone with orange light reflections and forms a beautiful, creamy white head. A potpourri of different aromas rises from the foam. On the nose, grassy-green hops, a delicate citrus fruitiness and malty caramel combine to create a seductive mixture. When drunk, Fridolin is wonderfully mild. Roasted malt, caramel and toasted bread hit the tongue first, with a floral hop note following on the foot. It is accompanied by notes of tangy citrus fruit and spicy pine resin. A hint of sweet, ripe fruit hovers over the play of aromas. Fridolin impresses with its mildness, which extends from the initial drink to the finish. A fine tartness permeates the taste experience and, together with subtle bitterness, gives the beer a well-rounded overall picture.
Fridolin is an extremely drinkable pale wine that is complex and multi-layered, but does not seem complicated or extremely challenging. It is the perfect after-work beer that immediately puts you in a good mood with its sophisticated taste and wonderful freshness.
