Laziness is one of the seven deadly sins that we love to celebrate. After a long, stressful week at work, we make absolutely no plans for the weekend. We start Saturday without a plan and are happy that our to-do list doesn’t contain a single item to tick off. We flop down on the sofa in the morning, drink three cups of coffee in peace, read a book cover to cover, watch twelve episodes of our favorite series, order a pizza and open the first beer well before four.
A thematically appropriate brewing piece comes from the pen of the Munich Brew Mafia. In their latest series, the Munich Mafiosi have taken a closer look at the Seven Deadly Sins and developed beer equivalents to them. Laziness is represented by a strong porter that has been refined with hemp flowers. Although the brewery could not use flowers that actually induce laziness for legal reasons, it is the thought that counts and beer also makes you tired thanks to the hops it contains.
The inertia in beer form flows into the glass in opaque mahogany brown and is crowned with a small cap of ivory-colored foam. A fine arrangement of chocolate with a delicate melt, freshly brewed coffee, crispy bread crust and roasted almonds in scent and taste entices you to enjoy it - especially if you have had some of the more effective flowers beforehand.
