Stone Brewing is a brewery that has earned a legendary reputation in the world of craft beer with its hop-filled brews. The Californian team has created countless brews that have sparked waves of enthusiasm in prestigious international competitions. In January 2024, they scored another hit with their Delicious Hazy IPA. Skeptics may criticize the hint of arrogance behind this confident title, but the brewers’ success proves them right.
The 7.2% brew flows into the glass in a Korngold color and is more cloudy than a heavy snowstorm. A fine-pored crown with a tantalizing tropical scent sits on the opaque body. The Azacca, El Dorado and Sabro hops, which went into the kettle in large quantities, are responsible for this aroma and juicy taste. The green cones conjure up a taste that is reminiscent of vanilla ice cream with a fruit coating: notes of ripe orange, peaches and pineapple meet a creamy sweetness and a hint of vanilla on the palate. The luxurious, grippy mouthfeel reinforces the illusion and gives the beer the appearance of a delicious dessert.
