As part of the Orca brewery’s beer friendship series, a number of legendary brews have already been created. The latest addition to the range has been created in collaboration with craft beer corner Coeln and brings a contemporary West Coast India Pale Ale to the range.
The crisp beer is usually refined with a whole truckload of different hop varieties, but the team from Cologne and Nuremberg decided to use a single hop. The selected variety is very young and has not been on the market for long. Cryo Pop is characterized by its extremely fruity character and brings tropical flair, ripe stone fruit and citrus-fresh notes to the beer. In the skillful hands of the brewers, a hoppy symphony was created that showcases all sides of cryo pop.
The modern brew pours into the glass the color of fine whiskey and is crowned with a hand’s breadth of ivory-colored foam. A bouquet of fruity notes rises from the dense-pored splendor and heralds the enjoyment of the beer in an atmospheric way. The first sip ignites a true hop firework and lets notes of pineapple, grapefruit, mango, peach and apricot explode on the tongue. Sun-kissed citrus fruits, pine resin and a harmonious hop bitterness complete the play of aromas and round off the IPA perfectly.
This collaboration is a befitting welcome to the new hop!
