The Christmas hits of the last decades are playing in the shops, gingerbread, stollen and cookies are tempting in the bakery’s displays, the happy Santa Clauses have been laughing from the shelves in the supermarket for weeks and in the cities fairy lights are being hung up, stalls are being set up for the Christmas market and posters are being put up for all sorts of Advent events glued. The first Christmas parties are taking place and we are slowly but surely getting in the mood for the cozy end of the year. The perfect companion for this contemplative time are the Christmas beers that many breweries release during Advent.

When fans of Orca Braus approached the team about a potential Christmas beer, Felix vom Endt and his gang were all ears: their friends wanted a winter-spiced India Pale Ale with an exotic flair. “Nothing could be easier than that,” Orca Brau thought and created a Christmas dream with a warming 6.4% alcohol content and a whole range of festive extra ingredients.

Your Mind Deserves Grace contains milk sugar that delivers a smooth, creamy sweetness. The beer also contains freshly squeezed orange juice, roasted cocoa beans and a spicy mix of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. The brew, aptly called Spiced Cake IPA, is basically exactly that: a wintery baked good that skillful brewers have spun from water, barley and wheat malt, Sabro hops, yeast and special Christmas ingredients.
