What do Fil , Mija and Frida have in common? Aside from the fact that they would make extremely nice names for the next generation of hipsters, all three beers are in the Flügge brewery's range. But the similarities don't stop there: all three creations were stored on delicious fruit puree after the fermentation process. This process gives the beers an incomparable fruity freshness and transports the pure fruit flavor into the beer.
After blackcurrants and plums, Dominik and Joachim chose the finest raspberries to refine their Imperial Stout Frida. The strong beer was fermented with the boys' favorite yeast: Kveik. The Norwegian yeast strain gives the beer a very special character and is one of the wild yeasts. Five different types of malt provide the soft, full-bodied notes in the beer, while the Columbus hop variety and the raspberry puree bring fruit notes and a wonderful freshness to the beer.
Frida flows into the glass in a rich mahogany brown and forms a small, slightly tinted head of foam. A wonderful palette of fine scents rises from the fine-pored foam: freshly picked raspberries mix with delicately melting chocolate and the unmistakable scent of Kveik yeast in the nose to create a tempting play of aromas. The initial taste reveals a voluminous beer with lush aromas that is surprisingly light-footed and dry. Heavenly raspberry notes caress the palate and deliver a fruity sweetness and great acidity. Soft chocolate and subtly bitter roasted notes complement the fruitiness perfectly. Wow.
Frida is a special in the young, wild brewery's range and is only brewed sometimes - the motto is to grab it quickly!
