The Sierra Nevada is a mountain range that stretches through California and the western United States. More than a dozen peaks with an altitude of 2,000 meters or more populate this area. Due to its enormous size, the region combines different climate zones, ranging from dry desert climates to arctic alpine climates. A wealth of different animal and plant species are at home in the Sierra Nevada, including the gigantic giant sequoias, bears, lynx and pumas. The name of the mountain range is derived from Spanish and can be translated as "snowy mountain range". There are three national parks in the Sierra Nevada and they attract hordes of visitors every year.
Why are we telling you all this? Because you can find an idyllic section of this special landscape in the logo of the Sierra Nevada brewery and on its pint glass. The simple, slightly conical glass presents the name of the brewery on a parchment rolled up on the sides, along with a picturesque scene with a blue river, green meadows, dark pines and a snow-covered mountain range in the background. The picture is framed by two bouquets consisting of lush hop cones and ripe, golden ears of corn. Beautiful and practical for enjoying beers of very different styles.
