The BrewDog brewery lives in constant contrast between Scotland and Germany. The company's two main locations ensure that the team has a good overview of the needs of its international customers and can quickly identify trends in the various beer markets. Many of the beer creations are available in the shops of both branches, but some are location-specific. This is the case, for example, with Jack Hammer, a legendary India Pale Ale in the style of a West Coast IPA. This classic in the range has now achieved almost cult status due to its intense hop character and powerful bitterness and is so popular that the German market has also taken notice. To fill this gap and quench the thirst of hopheads in Germany, Brewdog has quickly developed a local version of it.

Berlin Hammer is just as hoppy as the original: The varieties Citra, Centennial, Mosaic and Simcoe were brewed in large quantities and form a taste that couldn't be more fruity and tropical. The explosion of fruit is counteracted by a round of malt, oat and wheat flakes. The trio of grains forms a velvety-soft mouthfeel and a mild base for the hops. Berlin Hammer flows into the glass in a gently cloudy grain yellow, crowns itself with an airy head of foam and tastes of ripe tropical fruits and gentle pine resin. A powerful bitterness perfects the hoppy pleasure.
