Hazy Jane isn’t just Aunt Erna’s slightly stunned friend who sometimes drinks too much, but rather a hugely popular line of fine brews from the BrewDog brewery. It all began with the original Hazy Jane, an intensely hoppy New England IPA that took the beer scene by storm with a flood of tropical fruitiness and masterfully balanced, delicate bitterness. This beloved classic has now spawned an entire series.

Hazy Jane Guava is part of the family and complements the classic palette of ripe tropical fruit with the incomparable flavor of pink guava. The brew has a coppery shimmering saffron yellow and is crowned with a veil of white foam. A summery aroma of guava, pineapple, and stone fruit opens the beer experience. This is followed by an explosion of flavor dominated by juicy guava notes. Golden pineapple, sun-drenched mango, and soft apricot follow at the bottom. While barley, oat, and wheat malts provide a robust body, the lactose lends the brew a wonderful creaminess reminiscent of creamy ice cream or a smooth milkshake. 20 bitter units provide contrast to the creation, but remain discreetly in the background given the exuberant fruit.
