Ravishing Irish.
Dublin’s Guiness Brewery is certainly one of Ireland’s most famous breweries and is responsible for a whole host of delicious beers. You can now drink a good Guinness almost anywhere in the world and there are a number of other beers in addition to the classic Guinness, drawn with nitrogen. Except for the golden ale, all are deep black and delight with their pronounced roasted character and the incomparable creaminess that has made Guiness so famous.
A favorite in the range is the extra stout. This special beer from Guiness is a stout as it stands in the book: black as night, intensely roasted aromatic and wonderfully full-bodied. The creamy consistency makes the dark beer an absolute delight.
Guiness’ Extra Stout flows into the glass in the darkest shade of mahogany and has a fine-pored, hazelnut-brown foam crown on the opaque body. A seductive mixture of strongly roasted malt, coffee and cocoa rises and makes you excited about the taste. This convinces from the first sip: full-bodied notes of dark chocolate, roasted malt, cocoa and a hint of red fruits caress the palate. The play of aromas presents a successful balance between powerful sweetness and complementary bitterness. The finish stays on the tongue for a long time with dry, sweet notes of chocolate and malt.
