Spring puts us all in the happiest mood: the first warm rays of sunshine are laughing from the blue sky and spreading spring fever, lush green sprouts here and there, the birds are rejoicing and life is picking up speed again after the sluggish winter. Many breweries celebrate this particularly beautiful time of the year with festive beer creations . Maibock and Easter beer are definitely among these specimens and sweeten the longer days with their strong aromas.
A successful Easter beer comes from Harboe. Year after year, the Danish brewery produces the seasonal classic just in time for Easter and gives us a beer that inspires with a symphony of dark malt and noble hops. In the glass, the solemn drop shows itself in a glowing amber gold. An ivory-colored head of foam sits enthroned on the crystal-clear body, exuding an olfactory bouquet of malt, caramel and delicate fruits. The initial taste is deliciously sweet and tickles the palate with smooth notes of roasted malt, brown sugar, fragrant hay and freshly harvested berries. A delicate bitterness complements the play of aromas. The crowning glory is a finish that is hoppy and plays a subtle, fruity acidity.
Harboes Påske Bryg rounds off a wonderful spring day and still tastes good when summer has long since replaced spring.
