With 100% of the profits going to save the ocean, this beer is onto a winner!
For its lager, the Spanish brewery Ocean Beer was inspired by the millennia-old brewing art of the Germans. You’ve tracked down a recipe created by monks and brought it into the present with care and thought. Pilsner malt and Carabelge malt are responsible for the bright golden color and the silky soft mouthfeel. The hop varieties Hersbrucker and Taurus from the Hallertau contribute the fine bitterness and fruity notes. We find the Spanish interpretation of the German classic quite successful and like to drink a bottle or two of it - not least because every cent of the profit benefits our oceans and their countless inhabitants!
Ocean Beers Lager is fermented in open fermentation tanks and matured in peace. This prudence in the brewing process forms a particularly round, balanced lager that flows into the glass in the color of sun-ripened straw. The scent of yolk-yellow beeswax rises from the fluffy foam and makes you want to take the first sip. A bouquet of gently toasted malt opens, before notes of freshly mown grass, toasted hazelnuts, caramel and unripe green peach join in. The pleasant bitterness cleverly balances the creamy sweetness and gives the brew a nice freshness.
