The stout from Lion is a stout like it should be: dark, strong, strong and intense.
The stout has enjoyed great popularity for a long time. The English dock workers already appreciated the dark beer and used it to keep them entertained even in the coldest winter. In times of craft beer and beer diversity, a good stout can no longer be missing from any product range. International brewers are now also venturing into the typically English beer style and enriching the beer market with creative, varied and delicious stouts. The Lion Brewery is not from Great Britain: The brewery comes from Sri Lanka and brews a stout that can definitely compete with the “real” English stouts.
Your Lion Stout flows into the glass in a deep black mahogany tone and forms an airy, slightly tinted head of foam. As soon as you open the bottle, the beer exudes a seductive scent of spicy licorice, fine fennel and dark, roasted malt. The initial taste reveals a medium body with pleasant bitterness and dark aromas. Slightly bitter roasted aromas of freshly ground coffee caress the palate, accompanied by a caramel malt note and the creamy taste of toffee. Notes of red fruits and a fine note of alcohol round off the aromatics.
Lions Stout is a fabulous representative of its style and goes well with heavy desserts and hearty game dishes.
