The Slovak Republic is a small country located between Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary and Ukraine. Its capital is called Bratislava and is located in the west. Bratislava is the only capital in the world that borders more than one country: the borders with Austria and Hungary nestle right on the outskirts of the city. The municipality is divided into 17 districts and attracts visitors with a diverse cultural offering. The Slovak National Theater and a number of smaller theaters, the Slovak Philharmonic, cinemas, coffee houses, museums, sports halls and stadiums create a lively cityscape that attracts countless tourists every year.
Browar Pinta from Poland is also looking curiously at its neighbouring country. In a series of cosmopolitan brews, the team invites us on a beer-fuelled journey around the world. Tallinn, Timisoara or Tartu – the brewery was inspired by all of these metropolises and dedicated a stop to them on its world tour. The series is called Hazy Discovery and is currently sending us to Tokyo and Bratislava.
Hazy Discovery Bratislava is a Hazy IPA with an impressive 6.0% alcohol content, brewed in collaboration with the young Firstep brewery from Bratislava. The hop varieties Columbus, Simcoe, Mosaic and Nectaron create a juicy taste that conjures up creamy notes of tropical fruits, ripe stone fruit and various citrus fruits as well as a moderate bitterness on the tongue.
