Fog isn't everyone's cup of tea, but we find this autumnal weather phenomenon simply magical: We love it when thick clouds of mist hang between the treetops, shrouding the world in smoky haze and spreading its mystical atmosphere. And when the sun breaks through the haze and pours its golden light over the landscape, we're simply blown away.
The team at Browar Stu Mostów is equally captivated by fog, but the brewery staff loves a completely different kind of fog. Their enthusiasm is directed at the dense cloudiness that pervades fine craft beers, caused by yeast veils, malt, and hop sediments, and provides a wonderfully robust aroma. They have created a delicious monument to the fog: Golden Fog is a Double India Pale Ale, featuring an extremely opaque Korngold color and created in collaboration with the WeldWerks Brewing Company from the US state of Colorado. The collaborative brew owes its foggy appearance and grippy consistency to Heidelberg malt, oat malt, oat flakes, and chit malt (lightly malted grain). The Peacharine and Galaxy hop varieties complement this complex flavor profile with notes of juicy peach, ripe nectarine, tropical fruit, and tangy citrus.
Golden Fog is a wonderfully foggy fruit explosion that should be fun for all hopheads!
