The stars in Lord Chambray’s Tropical Pale Ale are two extremely summery fruits: mango and passion fruit give the beer its wonderfully fruity character. They are supported by the American hop variety Simcoe, which contributes tangy citrus notes and an abundance of tropical fruits.
The Tropical Pale Ale was created in collaboration with friends of the brewery: The Black Sheep is a bar that specializes in special beers and cocktails. The explosive Pale Ale fits perfectly into their menu and complements their range with tropical flair in session strength. With a gentle 4.1% alcohol content, the beer is in the lower range.
Lord Chambray’s summer beer flows into the glass in a light grain gold and is adorned with a crown of light, dense-pored foam. A nose of tropical fruits rises and mixes with crisp citrus acidity and passion fruit for an enticing bouquet. The first sip reveals a light-footed body with soft carbon dioxide and strong aromas. Notes of passion fruit, mango, pineapple, papaya, melon, grapefruit and peach explode on the tongue like fireworks. Pale malt and citrus-fresh hops underscore the play of aromas, while a moderate bitterness skilfully balances the fruity sweetness. The finish is dry and crowns the beer enjoyment with even more fruit and subtly bitter hops.
