During Advent there are beautiful customs and customs in all parts of Germany and the world, but in Bavaria the Christmas season is particularly cozy. They bloom around Christmas Eve and are said to attract spring. The next day the Krampus Run takes place in the more rural regions. Krampus is Santa Claus’ sinister companion and punishes children who have not been well-behaved over the year. On the eve of the sixth of December, parades with creepy dressed Krampus figures take place in many places. The tapping also takes place around the same time. To commemorate earlier times when poor people went from door to door asking for a little food for the holidays, today crowds of children parade through the village singing songs and being rewarded with sweets.
