Celiac disease is no fun, especially when you have to give up beer. Fortunately, more and more breweries are adapting to the needs of their customers and creating gluten-free alternatives in addition to their traditional beers.
The Riedenburger Brauhaus’s wide range also includes a celiac-friendly beer: the gluten-free millet beer. In order to increase the digestibility for everyone, the barley malt normally used is replaced by millet malt. This is naturally gluten-free and comes from GMO-free, organic farming. The hops are also organic and, along with the millet, give the beer its excellent taste.
The millet beer flows into the glass in a slightly cloudy light gold and is crowned by a white, fleeting foam. A fine yeast scent rises from the delicate foam to your nose and whets your appetite for the first sip. This reveals a light-footed body with a special character. A spicy taste of sun-ripened grain provides a down-to-earth base and a subtle acidity. The yeast adds a strong spice, which is complemented by tangy citrus notes. The slim beer ends with a crisp finish that is sour and fruity at the same time.
The gluten-free millet beer from the Riedenburger Brauhaus is a light, drinkable beer with a special grain note. Fine!
