The Schorschbräu from the small Franconian town of Gunzenhausen has made headlines around the world because it has now produced not just one, but several of the strongest beers on earth. The visionary and master brewer behind these powerful creations is Georg Tscheuschner - the eponymous Schorsch and the crazy genius behind the brews with 20, 30 and over 50 percent alcohol content.
But Schorsch is not only interested in the number of revolutions: when he makes his ascents, taste, craftsmanship and, last but not least, compliance with the Bavarian Purity Law are on his list of priorities. With incredible skill, decades of experience, exquisite raw materials, carefully devised recipes and a long maturation period, the master of his craft creates incomparable beer specialties that couldn’t be more Franconian and strong. His range is a top-class mixture of different beers, each of which has twice the alcohol content of conventional Franconian brews (at least 13%). There are also international interpretations, such as a powerful Kriek (a Belgian cherry beer).
The latest addition to the range is a bock beer: the Schorschbock 44%, as the name suggests, brings an incredible 44% alcohol content and a lot of flavor to the glass. The majestic brew comes in an elegant clay bottle and, due to its alcohol content, can be stored for quite a while, opened or unopened. An exquisite pleasure for selected moments!
