Georg Tscheuschner, master brewer and founder of Schorschbräu, has a clear mission: to brew the strongest beers in the world – and he does so with great ambition and impressive success. The Franconian never shies away from a challenge, experimenting with innovative processes and combining tradition with the latest brewing techniques to create beers that will impress even the most trained of regulars.
Schorschbock ICE 25 Oak Aged is the latest creation in a long line of delicious, quick-witted brews. This strong beer is created in several steps. First, a bock is brewed using traditional brewing methods. The alcohol content is then increased by freezing, and the Schorschbock is then carefully aged in select oak barrels. Through barrel aging, the brew develops complex vanilla and wood notes that blend harmoniously with the roasted malt and caramel tones of the bock.
Visually, Schorsch's ICE 25 Oak Aged presents itself in an opaque mahogany brown with ruby-red reflections. A hint of fleeting, ivory-colored foam adorns the rim of the glass. On the nose, an intense malt aroma meets roasted and caramel notes, a subtle fruitiness, and a lovely oak spice. On the palate, the Eisbock reveals its full power: full-bodied, complex, and warm, with an elegant bitterness that skillfully cushions the powerful malt sweetness. The voluminous 25% alcohol completes this brilliant tasting experience with a soul-soothing warmth. A feast!
