Fil is now also available in cans!
Flügge’s extremely popular currant Sauer Fil can now be bought in the practical and handy 0.33l can. This has several advantages: The can contains the perfect amount for a little refreshment in between, can simply be thrown into the backpack and transported safely and is also a little lighter than the glass bottle. We couldn’t find any difference in taste: Fil still beguiles us with its berry variety, fruity acidity, fine sweetness and extraordinary yeast notes.
Fil is brewed with Norwegian Kveik yeast and stored on top of the blackcurrant puree after the brewing process. In this additional maturity, the taste of the beer deepens and gains depth and fruitiness. At the end there is an exquisite sour beer in chestnut brown, which shines in the red and purple facets of freshly harvested berries and also smells like that. An irresistible scent of black currants rises from the pink crown of the densely pored, fluffy foam and promises a fruity beer enjoyment. The initial taste reveals a medium-weight body with a gentle carbonic acidity. Full-bodied and velvety-soft, dense notes of blackcurrants dominate the taste, hints of oven-fresh biscuits and a touch of natural yoghurt round off the interplay of aromas.
We recommend Fil as a delicious companion for your next adventure: canoeing, fishing, climbing, hiking and cycling are even more fun when a cold beer is waiting for you at the end.
