Acacia is a botanical generic term used for a whole range of different trees and plants. Most plants of this type have the fluffy round flowers in common, otherwise they differ, sometimes significantly, in growth, leaf shape and fruit. Fine furniture is made from the wood of the acacia. The Blech.Brut brewery proves that it can also be used for completely different purposes: Together with Sibeeria, the team brewed a fine seasonal beer that was then stored on acacia wood chips.
The collaboration brew was brewed with three different types of malt and an extra portion of barley. This abundance of grain gives the beer its stable body, the beautiful color and the velvety soft taste of caramel, roasted malt and hearty bread. The acacia provides that certain extra: During the maturation on the chips, the beer not only deepened its own aroma, but also took on that of the wood. The 5.9% strong beer is an exquisite drop for special occasions.
Teamwork is the basis of every progress and also an important driving force in the beer business. Without the tireless collaboration among brewers, there would be only a fraction of today’s innovation. In honor of all the collaborations, the Acacia Wood Aged Season by Blech.Brut and Sibeeria Teamwork is called.
